Microsoft signs LoI to acquire Xobni [follow-up]

As a follow-up to my post on friday, there is now independent confirmation that Microsoft has signed at least its side of a Letter of Intent to acquire Xobni. The price on that letter is unknown for the moment and would likely be above an initial offer of less than $20 million.

Update 2008-04-30: The latest rumors are that Xobni simply walked away from the deal. Its fate was not that clear inside microsoft. But are they really something else than a plugin (to Outlook, and possibly to others)?
