Around the web this week
June 1st, 2008 | by Laurent FP |I’m having a hard time getting through all the news every week now. I really hope aideRSS will soon work under FF3 to help prioritize.
- Anyhow, Android has been the big item this week at Google I/O. Everyone likes it, but where is the slick phone to go with it? read Android Is Out For iPhone Blood, and see what Scoble has to say about the buzz around.

- Good news for traditional advertisers, yougsters skip DVR ads less than seniors. Read a brief summary on slashdot because you need to register to read the actual report on AdvertisingAge.
- Also on the report front, Gartner says that 3G equipped laptops will be a must for businesses. Thanks to the dropping prices for chips and monthly plans. Are we going to skip WiMax altogether?
- Another startup tries to go after video blogging, a little bit like Seesmic. But can Phreadz create the same community follow-up than Loic’s hollywood style?
- Standoutjobs, the Montreal-based Recrutment 2.0 company that we are using at Silentale has won the SEOmoz web2.0 award in the employement and jobs category.
- In response to the intense discussions going on for the last few weeks, Disqus posted on a Comments bill of rights.
- And twitter nightmare continues. After a transparent Q&A on the twitter blog, more pressing questions from Michael Arrigton suggest possibly scary architecture.
- Google will add AdSense to Feedburner service. Would make it easy to advertise through your own feed but raises quite a few questions.
- Newspaper next step, be programmable. The NewYorkTimes seems to be working on an API.
